Michael has over 24 years of extensive international leadership and general management experience at CxO and board levels with significant P&L responsibility.
Through the experience of being a CEO, General Manager, COO, CMO, and Chief Strategy Officer he has gained operational and strategic knowledge of all major business areas, such as operations, strategy, marketing, sales, partnerships, alliances, and consulting.
Michael has successfully managed businesses in both developed and emerging markets (operated in Western Europe, Central and Eastern Europe, China, Middle East and Africa, LATAM, and Asia).
He is passionate about three areas – people, transformation of businesses, as well as the opportunities emerging through technology, innovation and transformation.
Key belief for him is that people are the foundation of any successful business and he is very passionate about enabling people to be successful and coach them into new generations of leaders. He has a proven track record of developing and attracting talent and coaching them to success and building successful and impactful teams. He enjoys the coaching, advising and developing of people and sees this as a key area of a leader.
Has a solid record of accomplishment of success in leading transformations, consultancy, designing and operationalising change, building start-ups within global businesses, and managing rapidly growing businesses.
Besides his broad strategic and management capabilities, he is very hands-on as well and able to oversee and actively participate in a transformation while leading the organisation through it. He has experience in sales, services, marketing and partners in the areas of Cloud Computing and Digital Transformation of businesses.
Michael has a passion for the impact of new technologies on businesses and has solid hands-on experience in areas such as digital transformation, cloud, artificial intelligence, big data and analytics, social media and mobility. He frequently speaks at industry events.
