Dr. Hamad Al Jassmi is an Assistant Professor of Construction Engineering & Management and the Assistant Dean for Research and Graduate Studies at the College of Engineering – UAE University. Dr. Al Jassmi obtained his PhD in 2013 from the school of Civil & Environmental Engineering at the University of New South Wales in Australia. Before his PhD studies, Dr. Al Jassmi obtained his Bachelors and Masters degrees from the United Kingdom at the University of Greenwich in 2007, and the University of Cardiff in 2008, and have worked as a Senior Building Control Engineer at Dubai Municipality in 2009.
Dr. Al Jassmi is currently an active educator and researcher in mainstream construction engineering and management. He is the first author of several research articles, which have appeared in leading international journals. His research interests include Lean Construction; Artificial Intelligence in Construction Management; and Building Information Modelling. He is particularly passionate about educating future engineers on utilising state-of-the-art 4D and 5D methods and technologies to achieve a longly aspired industry-wide application of integrated lean construction.
