Why is The Big 5 postponed?

Over the past months, the escalation of the Covid-19 pandemic both locally and internationally has determined restrictions to large gatherings, including events, as well as travel bans in many countries and companies. While several countries worldwide are currently easing these restrictions, the situation remains fluid.

Following a thorough consultation with our key stakeholders, including our exhibitors, visitors, and partners, we believe that postponing the event is the best choice for the construction players we proudly connect and have served since 1979. The early announcement of new dates will enable industry players to plan ahead and join an event that will bring benefit to the whole construction value chain.

The move intends to ensure the safety and the well-being of all participants while offering an edition of the scale and nature expected of The Big 5.

Have all events associated with The Big 5 been postponed?

When is the next edition of The Big 5 taking place?

The next edition of The Big 5 will take place on 12 - 15 September 2021, at the Dubai World Trade Centre, in Dubai.

What is the process for exhibitors and sponsors of The Big 5 2020 to transfer their booking to The Big 5 2021?

What are the plans for The Big 5 in 2022?

We expect to keep running the event in the September going forward. We have committed to this new dateline for The Big 5 to ensure our exhibitors and country pavilions can plan for it well in advance.

Will you run digital events before September 2021?

The Big 5 will continue pursuing its mission to connect and empower construction players across the globe and will do so in innovative ways. We are excited to announce that a Digital Festival of Construction will take place in November this year, assisting the industry through these challenging times.
